4 Brain Eating Zombie Projects

Who doesn’t like zombies? Whether they are slow moving are run fast as hell, these brain eating undead things are just so damn cute! Ok, so maybe cute is not the right word, but zombies have seemed to move past the horror genre and become fully embrace by society in general. To celebrate the mindless undead, here are 4 Brain Eating Zombie Projects:
Drunken Zombie Podcast: The Drunken Zombie is a podcast all about Horror Media. They cover zombie and horror related movies, comics, books, games and music. With episodes like ‘Drunken Zombie Ponders The Changeling’, ‘Drunken Zombie Enjoys A Blood Feast’ and ‘Drunken Zombie Attends Slaughter High’ how can an undead thing go wrong?!

Invasion of The Not Quite Dead is an upcoming independent film by AD Lane. When I say ‘independent’, I mean that literally.

Mr Lane is attempting to independently raise a minimum of £100,000 (approximately US$225,000) through donations over the internet to help fund the film. This is being done through some very creative ways, some of which allow everyday people to participate in the film. Invasion of The Not Quite Dead has already acquired some backing from some of horror’s most iconic names; Ken Russell, Tom Savini, Kevin Pollak, Leslie Simpson to name a few.
If you are into zombie movies (pft, of course you are!) and the spirit of independent film, take a moment and go check out Invasion of The Not Quite Dead.

Lost Zombies is a great community and social network is dedicated to brains. The website is designed to document the zombie apocalypse and the world’s first community generated zombie documentary. The Lost Zombies community is fun, inclusive and filled with lots of interesting zombie related projects.
They have also done a great job of being open and encouraging everyone to participate in the storyline. ‘In 2007 the flu pandemic began. The flu strain spread quickly, mutating out of control and causing a global zombie apocalypse. Today 75% of the population has been wiped out. We want to hear your story.’

ZED Squad stands for Zombie Engagement & Destruction Squad. It’s a great blog with lot’s of regular updates. ZED Squad has ‘May is Zombie Awareness Month‘ along with cool videos on What To Do When Zombies Attack and Zombies in Plain English. ZED Squad has is a mix of humor, news headlines and undead insight that makes it a good place to keep up with the zombie apocalypse.

I hope you enjoy these zombie projects and don’t forget to grab their RSS feed and/or bookmark them. They have each been added to the links sidebar of the Zombies page here on TheUnclean.

ps: I wrote this while listening to ‘Brains’ by Voltaire :)
