Lacuna Coil
With the debut of their self-titled EP in 1998 EP Lacuna Coil turned a lot of heads in Italy’s ambient/goth scene. A big part of their initial interest by fans was surrounded by Cristina Scabbia’s haunting & mesmerizing vocals. After the European tour with Moonspell and later with the Gathering and Seigmen, Lacuna Coil quickly began gathering fans on an international level. 1999 saw the band’s first full-length, In a Reverie. The Halflife EP appeared in 2000, and their next LP, Unleashed Memories, soon followed in spring of 2001.
Comalies was the Lacuna Coil’s third album and received high praised by the metal world after its initial release in October of 2002. Lacuna Coil continued to grow its’ fan base as they spent time on the road with Danzig, Type O Negative, P.O.D., and others . ‘Heaven’s a Lie’ was a commercial radio success in the US and was followed by the very popular ‘Swamped.’ The band accepted an invitation to appear at Ozzfest in 2004, and spent the next year playing several European festivals. Karmacode surfaced in April 2006 and then Shallow Life hit in 2009.
