deadstar

Deadstar Assembly, are sunny South Florida’s dark side. The troupe of musical avant-gardes and sonic masterminds deliver a sinister sound so intense and fierce that it burns. Like demented seraphim, DSA’s poisonous blend of death-pop industrial rock is setting the world ablaze with no apologies. Formed in 2001 by singer, Dearborn, DSA was a meticulous [...]

Zeromancer

zeromancer

The core of Zeromancer met in the influential Norwegian band Seigmen. During the 1990s, Seigmen dominated the Norwegian rock scene and also made a name for themselves internationally, playing concerts abroad. When Seigmen split in March 1999, Kim Ljung (bass guitar/Backup Vocals) and Erik Ljunggren (programming) went to Los Angeles and got an idea for [...]

Razed in Black

razed-in-black

It was during the warm Hawaiian summer of 1994 that solo electronic composer Romell Regulacion deviated from his synth-pop outfit ‘Rime’ progressing to a more aggressive and intense nature – meshing hard-edged electronics, pulsating rhythms, heavy guitars, and screaming vocals. The new project, formerly known as Lost Souls, caught the eye of LA’s gothic-industrial mecca [...]

Psyclon Nine

psyclon-nine-we-the-fallen

Summer of 2000 saw a match made in heaven when ex-roommates Marshall Carnage and Josef Heresy decided to form Psyclon Nine. The band started out as a guitar driven industrial band, heavily influenced by KMFDM and Ministry, but the members soon altered their style towards the more aggressive sounding industrial inspiration of bands like Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ, and Suicide Commando.

Clan of Xymox

ClanofXymox

Formed in Amsterdam in 1984, Clan of Xymox became one of the mainstays of the 4AD label. Along with label mates such as Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance the Clan’s dark electro-gothic approach to music quickly became the benchmark by which all other bands to follow were judged.

Suicide Commando

SuicideCommando

Unto Ashes

UntoAshes

Black Tape for a Blue Girl

BlackTapeBlueGirl

In the realm of gothic music, there is a fine line between the artists who create beauty and the artists who create pretention. Black Tape for a Blue Girl treads this line carefully and emerges as one of the most emotionally sincere bands of the genre. With lyrics reading like an aural diary pressed to one’s ear, Sam Rosenthal opens up the human soul and bares its bones to the world.

Voltaire

voltaire

Something wicked this way comes. Direct from the underground New York Goth scene comes this strange brew of gypsy violins, driving rhythms, sardonic wit and turn-of-the-century mayhem. Combining beautiful old-world melodies with viciously sarcastic lyrics, Wagnerian bravado with Brechtian allure, Voltaire has crafted twelve songs of love, loss, revenge and dismemberment sure to bring a smile to even the darkest of souls.
