House of Wax
In 1974, a woman is boiling hot wax to make wax masks while her young son is eating his breakfast in a highchair. The father comes in, holding a second son, who is having a wild tantrum. The two parents have to work together to put the second child in his highchair and strap him into it. The father calls the child a ‘little monster,’ and the mother angrily asks why he can’t be more like his brother and slaps him across his face. Neither child’s face is seen.
Now, Six teenagers are on their way to a highly anticipated football game in Louisiana; Carly, her boyfriend Wade and a handful of their friends. Joining them are Carly’s bratty friend Paige, Paige’s latest flavor Blake and Carly’s trouble-making twin brother Nick. While camping out for the night, they make the mistake of getting on the wrong side of a mysterious local redneck, and the next morning they discover that Wade’s car won’t work.
As the others continue on to the big game, Carly and Wade make their way into the closest town, Ambrose, and discover it’s all but deserted, except for a local tourist attraction, the House of Wax. However, it isn’t long before they find out why the wax sculptures at the museum look so freakishly real, and discover a pair of murderous brothers.
