Since studying art at the State Institute of Art in Urbino, Nicoletta Ceccoli has illustrated a number of children’s titles for prominent Italian publishers. Selected three times for exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Nicoletta was awarded the prestigious Italian Andersen Prize for best illustrator of the year, 2001.
Her work has been exhibited at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair seven times. She has also shown her work at “L’art a la page” (Paris), Ottogallery (Bologna), Storyopolis (Los Angeles), and Daimaru museum (Osaka).
In 2001, Nicoletta was awarded the Andersen prize as best Italian illustrator of the year. She is also a three-time recipient of the “award of exellence” from Communication Arts. In 2006 she received the silver medal from Society of Illustrators (New York).
Nicoletta Ceccoli currently lives and works in San Marino Italy.
